Description

Proluma PLA, by Genese Labs France, is an innovative natural collagen stimulator designed to gradually rejuvenate the texture of the skin. Unlike traditional PLA fillers, Proluma has a unique formulation with perfect spherical shapes and a uniform particle size, which requires less injection force. This innovative product uses the exclusive lyophilization technique of Genese Labs, which significantly reduces the treatment time by allowing a faster dissolution. Made with biodegradable materials, Proluma guarantees that no residues remain in the body, offering a safe, efficient and revolutionary solution for skin rejuvenation.

Key advantages

  • Uniform volume creation thanks to the spherical PLA particles
  • High safety due to the use of biocompatible and eco-friendly material
  • Reduction of treatment time due to the faster dissolution of the filler
  • Smooth injection thanks to the uniform particle size and prolonged effect due to its higher molecular weight (>200,000 Da)

Efficacy

NEW TISSUE AND COLLAGEN PRODUCTION: Proluma effectively promotes the generation of new tissues and collagen, demonstrating a progressive cellular response to treatment:
  • Week 2 post-injection: cell proliferation is observed, with cells beginning to adhere to the surface of the PDLLA particles and occupying the interstitial spaces, filling these gaps with new tissue.
  • Week 8: the previously visible spaces between the PDLLA particles disappear, being completely occupied by cells. These begin their migration toward the porous structure of the PDLLA particles.
  • Weeks 12 and 20: an advanced stage of cellular integration is observed. The cells have penetrated deeply into the internal regions of the PDLLA particles, inhabiting both the internal and interparticular spaces, culminating in significant tissue regeneration and volumizing.
LONG-LASTING EFFECT: Proluma not only corrects wrinkles and folds, but also ensures long-lasting volumizing in different facial areas. This makes it a more sustainable alternative to traditional fillers, by stimulating the production of collagen and new tissues, which guarantees prolonged results. SAFETY: PDLLA, known for its safety and non-toxic properties, degrades in the body through hydrolysis, transforming into lactic acid and glycogen. Through metabolism, these are converted into carbon dioxide and water, which are naturally eliminated by the body. PDLLA holds the approval of the U.S. FDA and is classified under the GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) designation since 1984.

How to use

  • Preparation: 30 minutes before the procedure, prepare a 9 cc suspension by mixing 7 cc of sterile water for injection (SWFI) and 2 cc of lidocaine with the contents of one vial of Proluma.
  • Remove cap and disinfect: Remove the cap and clean the pierceable stopper of the vial with an antiseptic.
  • Initial mixing with SWFI: Connect an 18G needle to a sterile single-use 7 ml syringe, extract the sterile water and, after inverting the vial, inject it slowly into its interior.
  • Shaking the vial: Shake in a vertical position by hand or with a vial shaker for 1 minute, until the excipients are completely dissolved. If lumps persist, continue shaking.
  • Add lidocaine: Just before the treatment, clean the rubber stopper of Proluma, introduce 2 cc of lidocaine and complete with the diluted solution using an 18G needle. Do not store the solution in the syringe for a prolonged time.
  • Extraction of the suspension: Disinfect the stopper of the vial and remove the suspension with a sterile 1 or 3 ml syringe with an 18G needle.
  • Change of needle: Replace the needle with a sterile 25G or 26G before proceeding to the injection.

Application areas

Inject in the deep dermal layer, where this method stimulates collagen production more effectively than conventional fillers.
  • Primary target: dry, thin skin with fine wrinkles.
  • Secondary target: nasolabial folds.
